Clerk of Course Wendy Walker and her very hard working team are just about set for the Darling 200 rally.
The Darling 200 will run in Jarrahdale on Saturday the 16th of November. As a round of the Clubman Rally Series and State 2wd Rally Championship, the bulk of the field will be made up by 2 wheel drive cars. This is a chance to see classic rally cars such as Ford Escorts and Datsun 1600’s match it with contemporary machines such as Toyota Corollas, Ford Fiestas and even a thundering V8 Commodore.
Rally teams will use the organiser supplied road book covering 88km of competitition over 6 special stages on some old and some new roads with a difference from past years. Three stages will be run twice with a service in the middle. The rally will start at midday and will finish around 17:30PM.
The Darling 200 service park and Rally HQ has returned to the Jarrahdale oval on the corner of Nettleton and Millars Rds Jarrahdale.
This year we are pleased to announce that the end of event celebration will also be in the service park area, so no one has to pack up and move trailers etc.. The Darling 200 will be providing a simple sausages sizzle with hamburgers (maybe) for competitors and officials and additional meal tickets can be purchased prior to scrutineering. No alcohol will be available at the venue, crews may bring their own and use the designated area where it can be consumed. No alcohol may be consumed during the running of the event and may only consumed after the event has been completed.
